Sing For Your Supper 2014

Thanks to everyone who took part in and came to see this years Sing For Your Supper charity concert in aid of Mary’s Meals. We’re just waiting on a slight delay before we can announce the final total raised this year, but it’s looking like we’ll be able to make our usual generous donation thanks to the efforts of all.

Spring Concert 2014

Savoy are pleased to announce that rehearsals are now underway for this years Spring Concert. There’s still plenty time to come and join in – the sooner the better!

As 2014 is the clubs 30th anniversary we are doing things a little differently. To celebrate 16 years of back-to-back Gilbert & Sullivan productions in our early years, we will be performing a “potted” Mikado, much the same as our Pirates of Penzance segment at last years Spring Concert.

This will be followed by a number of solos, duets & chorus numbers from each of the “non-G&S” shows we have put on in our history. So expect music from the palaces of The King & I, the prairies of Oklahoma!, the grimy streets of Oliver! and the fantastical Wizard of Oz among others – as well as ending the evening with the usual medley from this years upcoming main show (yet to be announced).

After last years success, we will once again be performing the concert on two nights, Friday 30th & Saturday 31st May, at the Victoria Halls, Helensburgh.
